Free Audio Bible Players for the Illiterate

Give The Light (a non-profit organization) is dedicated to make technologically advanced audio tools available for missionaries and mission agencies, allowing them to provide audio Bibles, free of charge, for the illiterate and oral learners in these mission fields. Missionaries download audio Bible files (MP3's) onto the player in the language of the people they work with. Missionaries give these players to the believers with the solar charger panel, free of charge, so as to not make merchandise of the Word of God.

The average number of people in a household in third world countries is seven. A Talking Bible placed in the home of a believer has the potential of influencing at least six other people. It would be a 24/7 Gospel witness and discipleship tool for less than $3.50 per person.

Individuals

FYI: If 10,000 believers donated their hourly wage this month, 5,000 + non-reading believers would receive their own Talking Bible.

Pastors

Pray: For this ministry to accomplish our mission of providing Talking Bibles.

Provide: We do not want to take any funds from your mission budget that supports missionaries in the field. We ask that you have a spare change drive, a give your hourly wage drive or ask for a special offering. You can send Talking Bibles to the missionaries and mission agencies your church supports. If you do not currently support a missionary, we would be happy to send your gift of Talking Bibles to a missionary on our waiting list.

Promote: Email the link to our website to your pastor friends and missionaries on your email list.

Pray: For this ministry to provide Talking Bibles for the third world believers you work with.

Provide: We do not want to take any funds that churches have raised for your personal support.

Promote: Add the need of Talking Bibles to your prayer letters, blogs, website and email correspondence. Ask for your supporting and visited churches to take up a special offering, a spare change drive, an hourly wage drive, or any other fundraiser to assist in the procurement of Talking Bibles for your mission church. The church can send the collected donation to your mission board or donations can be sent in your name directly to Give The Light.

Procure: If you are on deputation or furlough, contact us about getting a sample of the Talking Bible that you can show to pastors and congregations and explain the need in your mission field. Again, we are not interested in taking away from your monthly support, or your opportunity to gain support. This is a tool to help your people grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
